Tennis is Sheri’s game; she also works out six days a week which helps her remain energized and able to keep up with her busy schedule. She is a fitness and tennis member of La Quinta Resort and the Citrus Club, La Quinta.
“Although I spend a lot of time serving clients and I do work hard, I don’t define myself by my career. While this is a highly competitive business, I hope that at the end of each day, I am proof that you can succeed without sacrificing your values. The Big Move
Prior to co-founding her desert real estate business with her husband Bill, Sheri was a top producer in the outdoor media divisions of CBS/Viacom and Clear Channel Outdoor Advertising in Los Angeles, where she negotiated hundreds of complex real estate contracts with property owners.
“I was raised on a dairy farm in nearby Hemet. After capturing the Miss California title I high tailed it to Newport Beach, San Francisco and finally LA, to do some modeling and acting. While paying the bills for acting, I worked with Wolfgang Puck at the Original Spago Restaurant in Hollywood, and with Jeremiah Tower at Stars in San Francisco. Serving clients has always been enjoyable and a great education.”

Although Ed has been a real estate professional for almost a decade, he sharpened his customer service skills while overseeing the growth of a local pre-cast concrete company beginning in ‘98. Ed’s building products were utilized in many popular desert communities and commercial developments.
Sheri and Ed worked together on a number of client transactions over a two year period before Ed officially joined our team. Ed’s local knowledge and strong customer service and negotiation skills definitely bring added value to our clients.

An entrepreneur and marketing professional for nearly three decades, Bill built a successful online direct-response company (PSSL.com) that he successfully sold in ’04. Bill’s marketing leadership at PSSL resulted in his company receiving over 25,000 monthly inbound sales inquires to his 60 person sales staff.
In recent years, Bill has focused on the marketing and advertising of resort lifestyle real estate. As the Director of Sales and Marketing, Bill oversees business planning, budgeting, marketing and advertising for Sheri Dettman And Associates. Bill also offers Internet marketing consulting and for select businesses.
The '60's In The Desert
"My parents started bringing me out to the desert from the LA area in the 60's. I've lived in Hawaii and some other wonderful places, but I kept coming back to the desert. The proximity to LA, San Francisco, San Diego and Las Vegas, plus having the mountains and beaches nearby is hard to beat."
Early in his career Bill was a professional skater with Ice Capades touring for seven years. Bill then moved behind the scenes as a Theatrical Lighting Director, first for Ice Capades, and then working with a number of rock and jazz acts including designing the staging and production for the band Heart for the bands Little Queen Tour.
Bill and his wife Sheri enjoy travel and describe themselves as 'foodies.' They enjoy regular visits to Vancouver, Canada and Bend, Oregon. Bill is a golfer who was fortunate enough to play in the Bob Hope Classic PGA Tour event here with Corey Pavin, Justin Leonard, Mike Weir and John Daly. He is a member of the Palms Golf Club in La Quinta and a fitness/social member of the Citrus Club and La Quinta Resorts.
